Deck Description

This deck is focused around flipping Journey to Eternity. Most of the creatures have an etb effect to provide value to get more out of them. I have tested the deck and it plays out very grind-y matches. For the most part it is a mono black control deck that splashes green for recursion. The deck can draw a lot of cards over a game and is very resilient which can run an opponent out of cards in hand if they do not also have card draw.

The sideboard is just a little bit of everything to fight through different threats.

How to Play

Playing out a game you want one of your 2 drop creatures on turn 2 to start a board presence although a kill spell can work if you are on the draw against Stompy. You want to flip Journey as soon as possible for the ramp and obvious value it can bring. It can flip as early as turn 4 and which will give you enough mana to activate it on
turn 5 as long as you hit your land drops. The Demon of Catastrophes is your finisher most of the time, otherwise its a more drawn out game with 2 - 3 power creatures. Once Atzal is online leave your mana up and activate it during your opponents turn, making your graveyard a tool box for different situations and keeping your opponent guessing.
