Pacifism is a nice two cost lockdown, but have you ever looked at Arrest? It nullifies activated abilities as well as preventing them from attacking or blocking for the cost of three mana.

True enough, the 4 drop is a bit of a turn off, but tapping for 11 mana turn 5 to geta 40/40 mistcutter is amazing. I see a Zegana in there, what are your thoughts on Fathom Mage? Since bioshift would allow you to draw cards at any time in conjunction with Fathom Mage.

Burnished Hart?
3 cost as well, so you can continually sac it with sun titan.
Opaline Unicorn taps for one of any color and is also 3 cost.

Flames of the firebrand?

Gyre Sage is weird since it doesn't come in with any counters. Unless you're going to be constantly dropping things with a higher power than it when it evolves you'll probably only get 1 or 2 mana ramp out of it. The Acolyte is far more reliable for mana ramp since it taps for your devotion to green. However it does cost 4 mana.
Gyre Sage would have been so much better had they made it a 0/2 with evolve and had it come in with a 1/1 counter. Then at least you could use it right away, rather than having to evolve it first.

True, but with Trostani in there and token life gain with parralel lives, it make his ultimate crazy good.

Doubling season is better, but a bit more spendy.

Woodborn Behemoth is nice if you have the forest ramp, but since this is a counter deck, may want to swap it for Mistcutter Hydra. As for ramp, elvish mystic is a great one drop. You should look at Sylvan Carytid and Karametra Acolyte.
