Deck Description

I'm a long time player of MTG, having started right after Portal was released. Over the years I've had, and lost due to various reasons, many cards. I'm more fond of older MTG than the present state of things so I don't play at the local shops. As it is now, my collection of paper MTG cards is varied but I don't have many multiples, usually not enough to make decent decks. I am more or less done spending money on paper MTG.

As such, a buddy and I decided to try something 'new'. 30-Card Singleton is now our play style. We've made many decks, from Elf to Mill to Grave Return. The limited deck size and Singleton rules inspire many crazy deck ideas, and forces the player to think out every little action.

How to Play

The main focus is on gaining charge counters any way you can. Once you get a couple choice artifacts out, every combo is open. Kill permanents, generate 9/9 golems, take endless turns, and deal endless damage. All the while, you can't lose, they can't win, and your life total can't change.

I thought of adding Contagion clasp to aid in proliferating. Maybe splash blue.

In mtgvault we got a series of "halfdecks"
Where 30 cards form a halfdeck and you choose one and combine it with another one at random.

Search for the decktag: halfdeck

We've had a couple of people who have wanted to do the same thing with EDH, so you are not far from what we already got in here :)
