Deck Description

this is a cool concept that many people have seen but none have done. using arcanes and a guildmage. but you better hope no one has a discard deck, and since you can change the target of your arcane spells you can kill infinite amount of opponents in 1 turn

Deck discussion for turn 3 win

Don't understand how you can infinitely kill opponents in 1 turn. By turn 3, you have 3 mountains out. Tap 1 for Lava spike, then tap 2 for splicing Desperate ritual for 3 red. You could use the 3 red to copy lava spike with Izzet's ability, but then you're out of mana.

Huh. This is definitely an interesting combo. I don't think anyone's thought of this before, and it seems pretty solid. Not quite an infinite loop, but still solid. Comment my Husk FTW please!

In order to kill on turn three, you will need an additional three mana. This can come from many sources, such as delaying the combo by a turn or three (depends on how many other sources you receive), mana acceleration on turn one (or two or three, if delaying), or addtional mana boosters such as having an extra Desperate Ritual or three in your hand, and don't overlook Seething Song.

Nevertheless, the combo takes six mana to kick-start once the Guild Mage is down.

Here's an idea: try putting Djinn Illuminatis in here. It'll give all of your sorceries and instants replicate, either replicate Desperate Ritual repeatedly for however much mana you need to win or replicate Lava Spike and continually splice Desperate Ritual.

BTW, plz check out my deck.

You people don't get it. It only takes 3 mana. When you play lava spike you splice desperate ritual into it giving lava spike desperate ritual's effect. Therefore, you do 3 damage and get 3 mana with one spell, you use the 3 mana to copy it, rinse, and repeat. It's not rocket science...
