Deck Description

Here is my kick at a Reanimator deck.
Consists of: 2 enablers (8 cards) , 3 reanimators (12 cards)

Potential turn 2 win:
T1 Swamp > Dark Rit > Entomb > Animate Dead/Reanimate > It that betrays
T2 Swamp > Glistening Oil > attack

I believe Beseech the queen would be the best search for this kind of deck so I decided on Beseech.

Glistening Oil works great in this deck especially when you pull an Undying Evil. Both alone can be pretty great.

The side board isn't exactly 15 cards, nor is it complete. I figured I'd set up the sideboard like this so people can easier figure out what cards they may want in their sideboard. These are some ideas, I haven't checked the legality of all cards in the sideboard. I do know Demonic tutor is not legal, but if playing with friends that don't care can help speed it up a bit.

Build the sideboard to suit your style. It has some card removal to help against other Reanimator decks, Pathrazer if you chose

Dying Wish, Essence Harvest and Rite of Consumption can do nicely, especially with those Eldrazi's. When building the first draft of the deck I combo'd Dying Wish with Rite of Consumption and It That Betrays. I personally liked the undying and infect so I took this rout.

I hope you like it, tell me what you think

Also decided not to use counter

Hit like if you like

I still have some work to do with switching cards in the deck (ideas in sideboard) to make it more competitive

Still looking for ways to combat graveyard hate

Deck discussion for Legacy Reanimator

Love the idea and it has been a very successful deck in both modern and legacy, but seeing as you've made the legacy version, definitely look at cards such as Entomb, Blightsteel Colossus and Griselbrand :)

Sorry for criticizing a little Entomb is in the deck, since Reanimator is a graveyard based strategy Blightsteel would never be able to stay in the graveyard due to it's graveyard ability. I have contemplated on using Griselbrand, I should test it out and see how it does. Thanks for the ideas and comment :)

Ah apologies must have missed it :/ Griselbrand is insane simply to re-hash the life lost from reanimate :)

I'm thinking I'm gonna do this, what would you think of adding a Lich's Mirror? Maybe 1 more Dark Rit, a Painters Servant, and Griselbrand

Your sideboard isn't legal for legacy btw... I know Demonic tutor for sure is banned and I believe will is as well. Check out my legacy reanimator deck and give me your opinion. I'm still fine tuning a couple of cards. http://www.mtgvault.com/pieman307/decks/legacy-reanimator/

yes yes, the sideboard was intentionally not legacy legal for casual play

this version is extremely outdated,
it that betrays is considered to slow for competitive play
Yawgmoth's Will i knew was illegal but could create a different/fun casual play
