Deck Description

An old deck friend of mine imagined, and I collected the cards and made it and upgraded it long after Invasion. Casual play deck, hard hitter with a bit of defense, and mad burst damage.

How to Play

This is pretty much of a heavy hitting deck, creatures like Kavu Titan offer you a choice to play an early start or go for a heavier hitter with kicker cost payed ( Always go for kicker, use it without only in dire need.) Fires of Yavimaya give you an edge in surprise and speed, especially when Flametoungue Kavu comes out.

Also, I sometimes use my life as a "buffer" (or, i rather take damage then loose kavu-s for blocking) with this deck, there were times when i would get hit by an enemy for 15 - 19 damage, and would let it all through just so i can deal enormous amounts of damage in my turn after it, this deck is capable of dealing massive amounts of damage when least expected.

DO-s:

- Keep your Kavu Monarchs alive in order to get most of their ability. They give you the much needed Trample and "grow" for +1/+1 for each kavu cast after them.

- You can use Sparkcasters to "re-fire" Flametongue Kavu-s or recover Kavu Titans which dont have a kicker cost paid.

- Pick off enemy defenses / strategic creatures with Flametongue Kavus and Branching Bolts.

- Destructive Revelry offers some protection from Art + Ench and provide you with a bit more damage.

- Dont "throw away" Might of Oaks for nothing, try to target creatures that have Trample so you get the most out of them.

- Use Hunting Kavu-s as a good way of removing some attacking threats (like indestructible-s or something dangerous).

- Soulblast is your "poker face" finisher, if you play against a counter / preventer deck, always check enemy mana, if it is all tapped, blast away. This card is often a "i win" card if played well.

- Gratuitous Violence is a great when combined with Flametongues (8 damage to target creature), and is a great overall boost to the might of the deck. It also presents itself like a huge threat (And rightfully), and can win you games in an instant.

- Kavu Predators are just a great starting creature and a good way to "boost" your Kavu Monarchs, also they make the enemy have a second thought about gaining life.

- Tangle is your best friend, guard this card, treasure it, and when the time is right, use it to defend yourself and turn the tide of battle. The mana cost and abilities it carries is amazing. Do not waste this card.

DON'T-s :

- Waste Soulblast / cast it before attacking. Remeber you can wait till enemy turn for him to cast something and use up his mana and then cast it.

- Cast Kavu Titan without Kicker if you absolutely don't have to.

- Cast Flametongue Kavu when enemy has no creatures out. You will have to target your own creatures.

- Throw away Tangle. This is your holy grail of protection, and can give you an "extra turn" if played well.
