Deck discussion for T2 Dark Mill

Comments please...It's been a long time. This deck was made mostly from what I had lying around from the mid-late 90's that was still legal.

Can't go wrong with Unholy Strenth! If you're feeling adventurous, add Needle Specter from Shadowmoor/Eventide, which is a Hippy equal to it's power.

The reason it's mainly tenth is because I'm not wanting to invest in new cards until the next rotation in October.
I called it Mill because the Sculpting steel/Millstones are the heart of the deck. The Hypnos and Distress are for early (hopefully) discards, and the royals and Icy's are for creature management.

Even with that deck strategy, I'd still recommend some Unholy Strength (which is in 10th) for early beats. It's unfortunate that Dark Rit hasn't been reprinted in forever, because that would be obvious in this deck.

I had 4 unholies at first, but wasn't sure whether to keep them (although they are nice on the thopters). I miss dark ritual badly...this deck seems so slow...needs about 4-5 turns to really get established. Should I just add 4 unholies and play with 64 card deck? It shouldn't hurt my odds of drawing the other cards noticeably.

I don't think you'd need the entire playset, but you could probably drop an Icy, a Millstone, and a Sculpting Steel to make room for a 3 of for Unholies.

Millstone is VERY VERY SLOW same with Icy Manipulator... if anything Id swap them both out and play Rathi Trapper....he's a 1/2 for 2 that helps you tap opponents creatures for 1.... And if your looking at killing creatures and keeping yours alive then you should also invest in Mortivore and Midnight Charm those 2 along with Trapper and Royal work awesome........

I'm not really looking for the fastest kill possible. I enjoy a slow game and hopefully one that makes my opponent watch his best or most needed cards ground away. This deck may not work at all but I'll have fun trying. I had considered a sideboard containing 4 howling mines + 4 of some back enchantment that makes my opponent take 1 damage every time he/she draws (I forgot the name...it may not be T2 legal) and the rest of the sideboard might be some life gain (I haven't really thought it out
