Deck Description

Army of the damned was the inspiration. Ive been wanting a control deck that didnt involve the normal blue. Red white and black seem to work together well. You can keep the board very clean with this deck until you are ready to inflict heavy damage.

How to Play

The goal is to try to get to your Chandra in order to hopefully cast Army of the Damned. That will put thirty nine 2/2 black zombies out. While you are waiting for your Chandra this time should be spent getting your other Zombies out so that you army will be solid. If successful your 2/2 tokens will be 5/5 or greater. Lets see... thats a minimum of 195 damage going up to 319 :) Also you must use your Young Pyros for chump blocking tokens which will help you use your removal and exile spells wisely. Liliana will help control the battlefield and the opponents hand along with your thoughtsieze and mind rots. This deck is not meant to be fast so just take your time and play smart. It is dynamic enough though to play differently if needed.

What would you suggest replacing it with?

i would cut some of the one-ofs in here and go more whips, more lingering souls, some lightning bolts, more young pyro's. the b/w sorin. then shock lands, and if you can afford them the zendikar fetch lands

I planned to adjust the lands and ad pyro's just havent gotten to it. I have only been in this for about a year and all these cards were given to me or traded for. So I thank you for the tips. You should check out my hydra deck and tell me what you think. That was the only deck i have actually bought cards for. .

were you just trying to play army of the damned. i like the deck seem cool but IMO there really seems to be alot going on in there like its not sure where its going. i play zombie alot and this isnt something i ever thought of, lol. try undead war chief id say cabal coffers if it was straight black ive played an army turn five with the dark rituals on 4 if u want alot of control to combine with that death baron use abbatoir ghoul cost 3 colorless and 1 black 4/3 with first strike and gives you life based on the attacking or blocking creatures toughness and grixis grimblade wouldnt be bad either but in the end its up to you. good luck.

I was planning on using Chandra's ability to play Army of the Damned. While using the other Zombies to strengthen them when they come out. The white and red are simply my defense until I can get to that point. Thats the goal at least. Like I said everyone out here uses Esper (omg its so strong LOL) I just want a deck that was similar to the Esper decks with out using the blue. Since I was headed down that path I decided to add the aggro effect as these colors tend to work well that way. Ive thought about pulling out the white and running just red and black but I wanted to run as close to the esper as I can get away with. I hope im making sense. Do you still think I should run mono black?
