Deck Description

A note to people with friends; this deck will make people hate you very quickly.

A fun Eldrazi to get out out on turn 1 is It That Betrays, but you'll need a few specific cards;
Swamp - You need a swamp, unless you have a spare Black Lotus or Lotus Petal lying around. :P
Dark Ritual - Now we can use 3 black mana this turn
Entomb - Search your library for It That Betrays and put it in your graveyard.
Reanimate - Put It That Betrays from your graveyard into play and lose 12 life.

You now have It That Betrays out on turn 1 and have 8 life, what will you do next? :O

Try Tainted Strike for a quick poison counter kill or Vampire's Bite to Lifelink yourself back to health. Your friends will hate you even more!

If you somehow fail to get the Entomb/Reanimate combo off, there is also Fauna Shaman/Elvish Piper to put a creature into into your hand and then into play. Best of all; it's reusable! ...and doesn't eat your life total.

You can also use Mosswort Bridge to exile a card from the top four of your library when it comes into play, and then pay 1 green and tap to put it into play if your combined creature power is greater than 10. That's pretty easy in an Eldrazi deck.

Deck discussion for Turn 1 Eldrazi

So very many things that are wrong with your turn 0 Emrakul plan. Where do I begin? First of all, have you read Emrakul...like at all?

Let's start from the beginning. If you use Entomb and fetch him from your deck and put him in your graveyard, his ability triggers, and your graveyard gets shuffled into your library. This means that you can't even reanimate him, since he's not there to begin with, unless you are also running blue, and can come up with the mana to Stifle the triggered ability when he goes to the graveyard.

Secondly, even if the combo did work, or you managed to get Emrakul onto the battlefield one way or the other, he has protection from all colored spells, which means that you can't target him with Tainted Strike or Vampire's Bite.

I am sorry to have to be the jerk, but if it had to be somebody, it may as well be me.

If you want the type of hand that can do it though, you'd need. 1 Swamp/Island, 1 Dark Ritual,
1 Entomb, 1 Reanimate, 1 Stifle, 1 Chrome Mox, and 1 blue or black spell to imprint on the Chrome Mox (Note, the color of the spell would have to be the opposite of the mana your land is producing.)

If you get all of these cards in your opening hand, then your combo works.

Hmm...good point. I forgot Emrakul gets shuffled into your library like that. I never really use Emrakul; I always go for It That Betrays, since it can steal permanents. I'll change the description to use It That Betrays, since it makes more sense that way.

That'll teach me not to do stuff that involves thinking at 4AM. The Fauna Shaman/Elvish Piper combo works though, which is pretty awesome.

This also is not a turn 0 play. Turn 0 would be on your opponents turn before you ever had a turn. To play a swamp, black lotus, or a lotus petal, you'd have to play it on your own turn unless you were to find a card that allowed you to. Check out: Gemstone Caverns.
