Indeed i think that's a good idea, i didn't though that both persist and undying would leave the creatures with no counters XD Definitely will try that, thanks!
yet, as you layer the ablities you can trigger the creatures to always come back as the game checks to see if it can add and remove counters inbetween players gaining priotiry to cast spells, meaning the only time somone can kill your creatures with this combo out is to either kill makaus or exlie an undying creature as its ablity is triggering in the grave
