Deck Description

This is a standard mill and burn deck that needs help. I like the idea a lot, and it's lots of fun to play, and it always gets tantalizingly close to winning against other standard decks I've played against, but I lose at the very end (i.e. when the opponent has less than 5 cards left to draw).

Any help with making the deck more effective owuld be really great.

I thought about adding Grindclocks in, but they seem too unwieldy, especially in a deck that mills itself a decent amount, as well, so there's a chance you don't get it at all.

I used to run Charmbreaker Devils and Mindshriekers, but they diluted the milling, and never did enough damage to win the game, so I realized that this deck's win condition is solely through milling, not damage-dealing. So I got rid of those. I try to keep nonland permanents to a minimum so I lower the risk of losing a card when I mill myself with the Ghoulcaller's Bell. And of those non-permanent spells, most of them have flashback so that they are still effective from the graveyard.

I have lots of ways to deal with threats. I have a good amount of direct burn, plus some global burn spells in case things get out of hand, or to take care of creatures with protection. I also have some bounce. Grasp of Phantoms is especially great because I can effectively kill a creature by bouncing it to the top of the library, then immediately milling it.
