Well the card prices are an obvious result of supply and demand.
I'm not saying that decks worth $100 aren't skillfully build or that $50 cards are overpowered.
What I meant to say is that very expensive decks lose their value in terms of skill needed just because you only use the cream of the crop cards.

The beauty of MTG lies in the fact that every card, no matter the value, is actually useful in some kind of deck but you will need some deckbuilding experience and skill to make this true.
I do understand that to stay competitive you will need to spend money.

Also, keep up the good work NorthernWarlord! *brofists back*

These budget decks are the proof that you can make very good decks with not much money and that MTG doesn't revolve around your wallet but around deckbuilding and skill.

I don't know much about competitive, but this deck will surely pack a punch without the need for more expensive cards.

Inkfathom Infiltrator seems like a good swap indeed, I wish you luck with this deck!
By the way, you have the most gorgeous mana curve ever at the moment. :)

Nope, I get it that you have already playtested this deck before so if you say it works and not being Modern is fine then this deck is good in my opinion.

4 flying roval instants are a bit too much for this deck, especially regarding your other reach cards.
keeping Plummet in your sideboard won't hurt, and you can add some Blanchwood Armor in the place.

Ranger's Guile is as good as useless in this deck because almost all your creatures have hexproof already and the same goes for Savage Summoning.
If you remove the 3x Ranger's Guile, 3x Savage Summoning, 2x Plummet, 2x Aerial Predation and 4x Voyaging Satyr you could even make this deck dual coloured.

Looks good, did you consider Deathcult Rogue?
I would also replace Watery Grave with a Temple of Deceit and the Silent-Blade Oni with whatever just to make this deck Modern compatible.
Oh, and Cload and dagger is a nice card for in this deck too.

Naturalise is pretty mandatory now since the addition of enchantment creatures.
It was always a nice enchantment/artifact remover, but now it has become a 2-mana versatile murder.

I should really get myself an Izzet deck.
That will probably be my next one, Izzet control/burn, this one's a good inspiration.

I agree with TheSwarmer.
I would remove the Spidersilk Armor for a Modern card.

You can easily replace it with Spider Umbra.
This one costs only one mana, and gives +1/+1 instead of +0/+1.

Problem is, I don't like copying decks from the internet 1:1.
I really want to do something with constellation, but your deck is the best you can come up with.
...Maybe with some other enchantment creatures I could modify it to my tastes?

It's a shame that there aren't many creatures with the Constellation ability.
Still, I like it!

I don't get the Sensei Golden-Tail.

All your creatures are already samurai and already have Bushido.
You could leave it out and add another Grappling Hook.
Also, have you considered Araba Mothrider?

Really?
I thought they were pretty cheap?
You know what, I'll make a deck right now and send you the link and I'll try to keep is as cheap as possible!

Just a deck he made himself by pulling Slivers from boosters and fat packs.
To play Slivers at their fullest you'll need a 5-colour deck.
Playing them never seemed a problem to him despite all those colours (just add some double lands like Guildgates).
But in my opinion Slivers aren't really fun at all to get played against and to play.
Those tribal buffing effects are pretty much what Yu-Gi-Oh! did (and still does) which makes every archtype (tribal in YGO) the meta and everything else crap.
It's the exact reason that I moved to MTG (and it much, much cheaper too).
So yeah maybe it's a TGC trauma that makes me dislike Sliver decks.

Back on-topic: just build a 5-colour Sliver deck and get guaranteed wins.

Slivers are best to be played in an all-colour deck due to their diversity.
I know someone with a basic Sliver deck like this and he wrecks everything in 5 turns.
Making a dual-colour Sliver deck seems a bit anti-sliver to me, but it could work.

Have you thought about making a modern format of this deck by using Negate and Cancel instead of Capsize, Counterspell and Ponder?
Hover Barrier, Illusionary Servant and Phantasmal Abomination are also nice illusion creature options.
