Standard Boros deck

How to Play

This deck is built around using Thatcher Revolt to make your Champion of the Parish bigger as the tokens come into play while at the same time making your Unruly Mobs bigger as the tokens leave play.

Additionally, Thatcher Revolt combined with Goldnight Commander makes all of your creatures bigger until the end of the turn plus the tokens from Thatcher Revolt can be used to fuel Burn at the Stake provided you have enough mana and you take advantage of it before the tokens leave play. If that fails, Burn at the Stake may be a viable late game finisher with the help of Assemble the Legion.

There are other options for growing your Champions with Increasing Devotion and Assemble the Legion. Oblivion Rings are here for general removal and Planar Cleansing is on hand as a board sweeper. Boros Charm provides a little bit of reach which with Chandra in play can be very potent.

Some minor lifegain is available with Nearheath Pilgrim to buy time for big drops like Aurelia and Gisela. However, if you can pair your Pilgrim with your Reckoner then target the Reckoner with a Boros Charm making it indestructible you can in turn hurt your own Reckoner, which triggers his ability again gaining you life ad infinitum. Cheap and nasty, but still legal and basically an alternate wincon for this deck.
