Deck Description

A deck based around discard. This deck forces your opponent to have the cards ready to be discarded. I have yet to play this, but it shows promise. I'll post when I have game results.

(Update Aug 14, 2010) I'm planning on using this newly tweeked deck for the M11 game day tomorow. I moved out cards like doomblade and chain reaction for cards like deathmark and pyroclasm into the side board. I moved 2 Destructive forces main deck and moved out all my bituminous blasts. Oh, an obvious upgrade was liliana's caress taking up megrim's old slot. Wish me luck everyone!

(Update Aug 15, 2010) I just finished game day today. My record was 3 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie. A very impressive score for my deck. I tied the very last match too. In my last game I won the first match against a blue/white lifegain control. After all our matches, my opponent audmitted that he sideboarded 14 cards in against me. He won the second match. And as I revealed earlier, the third was drawn after active player 5 rounds. So, after today, I feel that the shatters were pretty much useless. I'm going to remove them from the sideboard and put in 3 leyline of the void instead. Otherwise, everything else worked great.

(Update Aug 17) Ok, my final changes to the deck are as follows: I moved out 3 shatters and replaced them with leyline of the void. I see very little artifacts that i need to worry about. The truth is, the only one that worries me is Eldrazi monument, but if i cant kill off creatures before it gets brought in, then i'm likely to lose without the monument. I chose the leyline because the only two decks i had trouble against where a mono red burn/unearth and a red/green cascade (with vengevines!) I beat out the mono red in a top deck win, but the fact is simple...if i have 20 removal spells in my deck, and he has 20 creatures, my deck will win more often then not. But, if all of a sudden my opponent can just keep bringing back stuff i've already killed, i'm in for it. Thats how i lost my only match. When i played the red/green, i played a blightning turn 3 and my opponent discarded 2 vengevines. It was downhill from there.

Now, as for the doomblade, I remember having them in the side originally, and i thought kicking back on mana costs would be good, but the fact is its better to kill my opponents creatures during my opponents turn then in mine (which is also how i'm justifying the volcanic fallouts taking up pyroclasms previous slots).

So yeah, this is my last update on this deck. I'm going to play it again at FNM and see if it goes the full 4-0. Please comment and provide any input/constructive criticism.
