Deck Description

Strionic Resonator + Hidden Strings

How to Play

Slapping Hidden Strings onto one of your hard to block dudes with a Strionic Resonator in play, then attack. Use the Resonator to copy the Cipher trigger from Hidden Strings, untapping the Resonator and three lands. Copy the Cipher trigger again, untapping the resonator and three lands, ad nauseam netting one untapped land each time.
Now, what to do with that infinite mana?
~Mindshrieker everyone else's libraries.
~Nephalia Drownyard everyone else's libraries.
~Duskmantle Guildmage everyeones... you get the idea.

Technically yes. It does have "Whenever" in it. This does mean that when your creature hits, it reactivates from exile as an ability of the spell
Amongst other things, it can be extorted, countered and counts as playing a spell

Is it just me or am I not seeing how you untap four permanents each time you copy the Hidden Strings Cipher?

Hidden Strings is you tap/untap a permanet then tap/untap another
Making a copy of that meant that you tap/untap 4 permanents

That's true, but doesn't give an infinite amount of mana? :)

It does if you keep on using the abilities to untap mana

But if you spend two mana and tap the Strionic Resonater to copy an ability which untaps two permanents then you're one short.
