Deck Description

Potential update for my Seismic Assault deck.
Still need to acquire most of the Modern Horizons cards before I can test this version.

How to Play

The idea is to land Seismic Assault and / or Ayula's Influence, then using Life from the Loam to keep discarding to these enchantments.

Cycling lands serve as lands for the enchantments, cantrips, and a way to keep dredging Life from the Loam (or Dakmor Salvage).

Because both the main enchantments require 3 of their respective mana, Manamorphose is a huge help. It also cantrips, which works well with dredging Life from the Loam.

Deck discussion for Ayula's Assault

Looks solid! Not sure about playing 4-of Wrenn and Six, but that's kinda a personal choice.

Thanks

Being such a cheap planeswalker and having such a low loyalty, I don't expect it to last very long on the battlefield. Besides, with it being so cheap, I can always activate one, then play another to get another activation. But I guess only time will tell 4 is too much (when I eventually get the cards so I can test this deck).

Hmm, the fact that all the cards are present in the form of a playset either indicates a first rough draft or extensive knowledge and testing. Which is it?
Also, what do you think of Ruination Rioter? I honestly haven't thought about it too much as my interests lie predominantly in Golgari Loam Pox, since Barren Moor and Nether Spirit entered this wonderful format.

A bit of both actually. While I don't currently have the Modern Horizons cards, I do have a Assault Loam deck with Molten Vortex as a backup Seismic Assault. Seismic Assault and [[Ayula's Influence]] work slightly differently, with Assault getting in direct damage and immediate results and Influence giving (potentially) repeating damage and blockers. So I feel maximizing both almost guarantees that I have the options to fit the situation.

Ruination Rioter is a possible addition, but it's fighting for Countryside Crusher's slot. This will depend on how removal heavy / light the meta is.

The include of Barren Moor' s kin is actually the main reason I decided to "update" my Assault Loam list to this. I'd love to take a look at your Modern Loam Pox list.

Fair enough, it is afterall much too early to determine what works and what does not. The only other criticism I am able to muster is this question; how do you deal with GY hate in games 2&3. Or rather, as that is in fact the purpose of Cindervines, do you think that 3 pieces of GY-hate hate is sufficient in today's metagame?

Oh, and my new wet dream is here https://www.mtgvault.com/theswarmer/decks/golgariish-modern-loam-pox/
Though I doubt I will be buying the fetch lands to make it what it should be.
