Deck Description

A lame Spirit deck that I made out of the many (commons and uncommons) Kamigawa cards I have :p

Loam Dweller + Elder Pine of Jukai = "free" lands for playing spells :D
Soilshaper - turn those many lands into creatures.
Joyous Respite - gain life for those many lands.

Phantom Wurm with Long-Forgotten Gohei out is semi-indestructible, but I'm not sure I want to include it in the deck.
Forked-Branch Garami's double soulshift is for if I go against decks that kill creatures.

Deck discussion for Ded's Spirit Tribe

Considering, that almost all of us have tried to assemble a spirit deck with our old cards from the kamigawa block, and failed utterly at it... I actually think you've made a very decent Spirit deck :D I think I might would add one or two Kodama of the Center Tree to the deck, Its just a big ass spirit that works well in tribal. Kodama of the South Tree could also be a nice add. i just hate that both of them are legendary...

Thanks man, I've been looking for a large green spirit to put in :D
I've also been thinking of adding some Earth Surge for Soilshaper's ability :p

Always happy to help :b I've always wanted to make a spirit deck that could kick some butt, but I don't feel like buying new spirits, and I've just traded most of my old ones away. Btw, earlier today I started building a land destruction deck, inspired by some of your LD decks and I was hoping you would try and take a look at it?

I gotta admit, I'm in love with the splinter combo.... :D

Earth Surge and Soilshaper sounds like a sweet mix! a 5/5 every time you play a spirit or arcane is awesome, now I'm actually starting to considerate making a deck that resolves around Earth Surge.. xD

Dryad arbor would work well with that ... hmm....

The arbor would be good, but that'd further reduce the number of spirit / arcane spells, so I'm not too sure if I'll add them.

Since Dryad arbor also is a land, I would replace some forests with them. They even still counts as forests, so its basically the same. Except that they have summoning sickness and also are a 1/1 creature. My absolute favorite spirit deck card is Devouring Greed, it's just an amazing card for the final blow, and almost all my old spirit decks resolved around it. Won't do you any good in a mono green deck though. But i prefer two colored spirit decks, since it gives you more Zuberas. It could be fun building a deck around Zubera abilities :p

Oops, my bad :p I was thinking of another card when I last responded (I feel silly now), I think I'll add some. One of the things I'm trying to do with this deck is to keep it mono (just me wanting to remain different), so although the Devouring Greed is awesome, I won't be using it. Oddly enough, I've been wanting to make a 5 colour zubera deck, but a friend beet me to it :(
