Deck Description

Current state of my Standard FNM deck.

Oran-Rief Hydra, Crater's Claws, and Surrak are place holders for duplicates of other things I'm looking to include, like another Nissa's Renewal; Grove Rumbler; or Atarka's Command, when I can get my hands on them.

Aggro can be a threat if you can't stabilise in time. I had a game last week that I only won because of the 7 life from Nissa's Renewal (was on 5 when I won). With UR Prowess being a new threat, so I'm looking to up Nissa's Renewal to 3 and work in a set of Pulse of Murasa, which works nicely with the fetch lands.

How to Play

Turn 1: Mountain and hold a burn in hand to kill their turn one play. Otherwise, a fetch land or Cinder Glade tapped.
Turn 2: Forest, Rattleclaw (pray it doesn't die). Heir of the wild is a second choice here.
Turn 3: Nissa's Pilgrimage or Explosive Vegetation.
Turn 4 onwards: Any big creature or landfall card.

Heir of the Wilds helps with early game defence and threatens to kill their big creature at all stages of the game.

Don't be afraid to attack or block with Rattleclaw beyond 4 lands, there's so much mana ramp that it's mana ability isn't that useful mid-late game.

Majority of the creatures in here (tokens included) are elementals, which trigger Omnath's second ability when they die.
