The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Deck Description

Ultimate land destruction combo:
Use Liquimetal Coating to turn an opponent's land into an artifact and then Splinter it :D
Winter's Grasp, Acidic Slime and Mwonvuli Acid-Moss to mop up the lands that are left :P

(26 Nov '10) I just realised that with Liquimetal Coating out, Naturalize becomes an instant speed land destroyer :P
I'm thinking of mod'ing this deck to add Isochron Septer so I can imprint Naturalize onto it :D

Deck discussion for Land Destruction (Green)

Like the deck but coul you explain me how do this win the game?

The idea is for the opponent to have no lands, therefore not being able to play anything. then I play howl of the nightpack and attack. with no lands the opponent shouldn't be able to react to the hord of wolves.

Glad you like it. this is actually a modification of my old green land destruction deck. I was hoping to test this out tonight, but our normal venue was flooded last night :(

Honestly, I didn't take legality or budget into account when i made this, I just looked at what cards I had or could get from friends and made this :P

lol you can't control it, I just meant that your deck passed my Dirty Deck in likes, so it went lower on the upcoming list. I was joking. I should be the one apologizing to people about hording the upcoming list...

If your decks make the upcoming list, then congrats. I never really expect mine to reach the list, so I'm quite happy at the moment :D

I know there are creatures (and other cards) that can get rid of lands, but I'm happy with the way the deck is now. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Maybe adding myr landshapper,if u dont draw the splinter, other than that good job!

Lol, didn't know of that Myr. It's a good card, but as I said earlier, I like my deck the way it is :)

Another potential card you could use, though high in mana, could be Terastodon; when he enters the field he can destroy up to 3 lands and you get 3/3 elephant tokens for each land destroyed. This is an awesome deck! +1!

I won't use it because the person losing the permanents would get the 3/3 Elephants.

You, ser, just gave me an idea.

I've been wondering what to do with my U mana-control deck (currently U/R with Psychic Venoms, Soul Barriers, and land destruction) and my R/G Anti-artifact deck. Neither of them work quite how I'd intend them to. The former would have been effective 2 years ago, but the game has become much faster since then. The latter relies too heavily upon Liquimetal Coating, as more often than not I want that Shatter to hit something besides the 2 or 3 artifacts someone might run (we're vintage, SoM has had it's impact on our metagame, but there's still a lot of decks w/o many artifacts)

I'm thinking I might want to run the two ideas together, and splash a little more U artifact control. Neurok Transmuter, Myr Landshaper, and Liquimetal Coating along with G land & artifact destruction and U mana control & artifact stealing ^-^ I think it should be fun! Thanks for this deck :D Gave me just the idea I needed to make use of some cards I've been staring at for a long while!

Would splinter played on a land after liquimetal coating end the game in essence? In other words, would it be able to destroy all the lands left in the library? Just want to make sure I understand that right. If so that is insane... crazy deck. Well made. I love it. Like +1

Look at Pariah's shield on an indestructible creature...you almost can't lose.
Also, with splinter twin and intruder alarm, you can create infinite copies of a card in one turn.

Don't have a lot of experience running land destruction myself...does splinter allow you to search for lands and destroy all of them? It *does* say 'card' with the same name, not artifact (even if the land was an artifact from the start). Also, maybe Rampant Growth for ramp instead of Search for Tomorrow? It seems like you don't have a lot going that keeps you alive early on, so solid mana acceleration is probably key here.

0
Posted 19 January 2013 at 12:37

Have you considered including voltaic key? A grey mana to untap target artifact could be handy, if you plan on using liquimetal coating. :)

Some cards to consider: Nature's claim, elvish scrapper and crumble.
