Spirit Tokens (in Modern)

by DedWards on 30 August 2012

Main Deck (60 cards)

Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

While reading through a decklist by Falcon_PUNCH! ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=380238 ) I got the idea to design a Spirit token deck.
Main idea is to produce Spirit token creatures, have them get pumped up by Honor of the pure and / or Intangible Virtue and attack. The secondary win condition / final blow is to cast Devouring Greed after an attack (this is the idea I borrowed from Falcon_PUNCH!). Blood Artist helps with that and also punishes the opponent for killing the spirits.

The land base could be better, but it's all I own in BW dual lands :'(
I'm thinking of bumping Beckon Apparition ?to sideboard to make room for a hand disruption card, but not sure on what card...

Deck discussion for Spirit Tokens (in Modern)

Hey DedWards
I took a few of ur suggestions and made a full deck edit to a more finalized and solid hand.

As for my suggestions for you, toss the apparation to the side and put a few cards that will save you some life like pacifism or rebuke. *shrugs* because you gotta live long enough to ramp your spirits with enchants so they can attack/defend without instant death and still have enough of them when it comes time to throw devouring greed.
Cathars crusade will help ramp them with counters quickly too, expecially where many of ur spells have multiple tokens coming into play
