Deck discussion for AC-47 Spooky(Dragon EDH)

Alright, saw this in the unloved area, so lets give it some luuuuuuurv =]

First off, I looked at the deck stats and only 18.2% of the deck is spells. Not only that, but they're spells that don't help out Wort or benefit from her ability. So bottom line is: Put in more spells, and make those spells crazy when you copy them. Wort's ability is nuts, and should be abused to the fullest. Spells that dump creature tokens into play are nasty with replicate, and some even offer infinite combos! You can make a massive army with spells like Howl of the Wolfpack, which will later let you copy spells literally dozens of times. You can take it a step further however. Spells that both give you a token/creature and also do another effect (growth spasm comes to mind, but colorless eldrazi tokens wont help replicate). Spells like these will let you fully synergize with Wort's ability.

Your strategy should involve building up a massive army of tokens by spamming spells and/or by playing creatures that generate tokens. Krenko would be amazing for this job, among others. After you get that huge token/creature army, start spamming spells that get stupid good when you copy then 20 times...imagine a nice "Wall-o-Fireballs". You could even copy a few Overruns and steamroll opponents with your beefy tramplers.

One other thing you should focus on in here is ways to untap your creatures. This will let you copy stuff even more, and give you more untapped creatures to make the most out of Overrun-like effects.

Hope that all helps =]

thanks surewhynot all great advice. to be honest i only chose wort for a general due to a lack of others really catching my interest. she isnt really my focus, i just wanted a fun deck to use my dragons in. it might win might not but i thought it would be fun. if u can think of a better G/R general that might help.

Well, if you want a general to play dragons with, you should go with Karrthus, Kaalia, Scion of Ur, or Zirilan (My buddy Max has a damn good Zirilan, so I could give you some suggestions).

Buuuuut, if you want to go with R/G, then the list is pretty limited. I suppose the best help you could get with dragons in R/G would be either Radha for the speed boost, or Stonebrow for the extra "oomph".

i like using Radha, really seems to go with what im tryin to do here.

on a side note, i looked up more details about wort, the raidmother and some of the comments on her say u cant conspire more than one time for a spell.. i dont see how it can potentially go inf or even copy a spell more than once. u have me interested lol.

I could have sworn you could repeat the replication, and thus go infinite...I might be wrong though, nobody in my playgroup uses Wort, and actually nobody who visits the shop has brought one out =/

Two (and maybe 3 in the future) people in my group use Radha though, and I think she's a pretty cool general to be honest. I can understand people not wanting to play against Zirilan...that guy does stupid things with dragons. Mono-Red or not, he's one of, if not, THE best dragon-based general.

yah some ppl have commented that the rules for conspire only lets u pop it that one time u played the spell. b/c after that first time u rnt technically casting the spell again u r just copin the spell.

i think she will be a good general here. thx for the info on that one. bahaha yaaaahhhhhhhh i had to break that deck appart b/c ppl hated it that much, i also think he is the best dragon general u could use.. they said they would rather battle my Kaalia EDH than Zirilan XD. so this is my way around that, granted i do like using Kaalia, i hate being that major target in multi way duels -_-...
