Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.
Before the game starts, take the Goatnapper out of your deck, hand it to your opponent and say to him "You'll be needing this". Choose to draw. Your opening hand: Elvish Spirit Guide, Fastbond, Swamp, Dark Depths, Crucible of Worlds, Black Lotus, Zuran Orb. Draw an AEther Snap. Your first turn: Use Elvish Spirit Guide's effect, for the 1 green mana then put fastbond into play. Sac Lotus for the 3 mana and bring Cruicible of Worlds into play. Put your Dark Depths into play, along with the Zuran Orb. Sac the Swamp, gain the life and mana, play the swamp again, sac it again. RINSE AND REPEAT until you have the 5 mana you need for the AEther Snap. Play the AEther Snap, and the 10 Ice Counters on Dark Depths are GONE. Marit Lage is now in play. Your opponent cowers in fear as he plays his second mountain, and brings Goatnapper into play. Your turn again. (Draw Rite of Consumption, fire at will.) - Thanks to MCNest for this combo. Attack with Marit Lage and WTFPWN your opponent.

And I who thought my Cloudpost Combo was nice. Maybe trow a Rite of Consumption into play and it's a quick death A quick death at turn 1 :-)

@Kasimir (Kashmir?) You only allow your opponent one turn, unless they have a black lotus or other kind of mana gen card they can't use any of those. On their second turn what are they gonna do other than play the Goatnapper? This combo only really works becuase Marit Lage is INDESTRUCTIBLE (which is a great song by the way, Indestructible) anyways yeah you cant lose.

just wondering, for cheap ppl like me who dont use black lotus' wud a dark ritual work instead of the lotus?
only if you have the swamps out before hand. but the point of the combo is speed. but its also unlikely youre going to draw the combo immediately EVERY time so yeah, dark ritual would be okay.
Of course you could nowadays use the 2/1 firststrike vampire for two black mana instead of that big spell. Only works on one target with counters but hey... you only need one. Also against blue... unsummon.
put lightning greaves on lage for two reasons. first, gives shroud so it cant be caged, unsummoned, locked down or anything. AND if you end up playing lage late, get greaves out first, then when you summon lage, slap the graves on and swing with haste for game. maybe try to make him unblockable too? soooo many things you can do to augment lage to be better than any eldrazi with annhialator
