With that much proliferate and the fact that it's indestructible, it could work.
Interesting basis for a deck.

For creatures you could use Core Prowler to block with, also for proliferate better use Contagion Engine
you could also combine Throne of Geth with Core Prowler, Contagion Clasp might help too, might also need more manna and a cabal coffers if your using a lot of color less.

if you add lighthouse keeper, demonic tutor, vampirirc tutor, imperial seal, more lands, and my other suggestions, it'll be 60 cards just like you wanted.

also add wall of frost, and wall of air to stall, so you don't die in those 20 turns. sorry for the triple post but take my suggestions. it'll be 60 cards and probably much better.

As a suggestion I'd say one of the most powerful cards you could employ would be Gilder Bairn I would insist you look it up. You might only be able to do it once but with darksteel reactor thats probably enough. Maybe throw in energy chambers as well but you seem like your getting enough counters per turn.

nah 2 many gilde bairn is not that good 2 is enough becasue it cost 3 to use effect

Gilder Bairn + Training Grounds + Paradise Mantle = Infinite Counters on Darksteel Reactor for free.

That's one of many uses I use this nifty combo for in my new Infinite Counters Combo deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=202573

demonic and vampiric tutor are both restricted to 1 each

0

you can use diabolic tutor instead

0
Posted 10 August 2011 at 21:05

or you can put only one demonic tutor in and 4 dimir infiltrator and use their transmute ability to search for demonic tutor

Lighthouse chronologist, he gives you A LOT of upkeeps to allow you to put counters on darksteel reactor, plus you can proliferate his level counters to get to his level 7 faster.

perhaps you'd be interested in voltaic key and coretapper. Coretapper puts charge counters on stuff, and voltaic key is great for untapping/tapping and putting more charge counters on stuff

With what you already have, if you add in some Paradise Mantle's then you can use Gilder Barin's ability much easier, since at the moment the only way to tap it is by attacking, and that will risk losing some quick counters. Add that to the Training Grounds already in the deck at that's infinite counters of any type for free!

Gilder Bairn + Paradise Mantle + Training Ground + Darksteel Reactor = WIN. Those are what your 8 tutors are going to be looking for. Those are what you're going to be drawing for. This could be the main strategy for your deck.

If this is for casual play (I'm assuming it is, you have 2 Demonic Tutors in it), then go ahead and use 4 Demonics and 4 Vampirics. Drop the shitty Diabolics and Cruels.

I would run more Tezzeret's Gambits than 1.... 4 would be good. Card advantage and proliferate is extremely sweet, because drawing those cards will help you get to the main strategy.

Now, for the mana base....you need: 4 Polluted Delta. You may want to consider Watery Grave and/or Underground River as well.

You might not want to go for the aforementioned combo (you're probably going to stick with proliferate), but if you are thinking about it check out this deck

Well LOTS of people get mad at me for putting 4 demon tutor and 4 camp tutor so il side board them

If you are going to stick with proliferating those charge counters, you need 4 Surge Nodes, possibly some Contagion Clasps (or Contagion Engines), and maybe Voltaic Keys. I use all of these in my Karn-Coil Cannon deck, it has a solid artifact charge counter engine but with different win-cons than your deck.

If you really want to be a dick, add 2x Magistrate Scepters. Also, Wall of Tears is hands down my favorite defender, ever, if you're looking to maximize defense while you proliferate to the win.

It doesn't work well in this deck, but Shrieking Drake + Inexorable Tide = Fun combo. Just wanted to share :)

I'd drop the Training Grounds. Including them for only 2x Gilder Bairn is a wasted card. If you were also running Viral Drake (which IMO you shouldn't) then maybe it'd be worth it. But otherwise you only have those 2x Gilders with an activation cost.

KJHDSFJHDFKJGHKJHJ!!!

Also, checked out the Drake and, yes, the combo with the Tide is kind of hysterical. XD

Considering I've been trying to build this deck since before Proliferate was even a keyword...

First, Paradise Mantle would not be my first choice for color fixing. If you want a good source of ever increasing mana (in a proliferate deck) try Everflowing Chalice (colorless) or Pentad Prisms (any color).

---EDIT this... While I still don't like Paradise Mantle, after reading the comments I went back and reread the combo. If you're really serious about running that, though, only running two of each is going to hurt you a lot. Tutors or no tutors, running only two ofs for a combo deck isn't a great idea.

I agree with Savage, unless you're going to increase the number of Bairns, Training Grounds isn't worth it. If you're going to go for the combo, go for the combo.

Also, not a big fan of using Thrummingbirds as a key source of proliferate. They're fragile little buggers. Might want to switch them out for Contagion Clasps. The proliferate cost might be a bit more, but at least it's more of a sure thing, plus you get to weaken/kill your opponents critters.

My deck, for reference: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=219941
I'm going a difference route than you, but I have the two previous builds of the deck listed there as well. Just to give you an idea of what's out there.

i would say remove the black add 3-4 steady progress 2-3 more of both contagen clasp and engine and 2 more energy chambers at least 1-2 blinkmoth urns, amazing when you have 20 mana and a bunch of clasps and engines out n the field, and 2-4 fabricates
