Deck Description

Red/Splash Green

Surprise Sideboard... lol. Had originally made a naya deck that was almost the same to deal with vampires better. Decided to just create my sideboard in this deck able to completely convert the deck to the other version. This deck stomps everything, gives very good jund decks a run for their money, and only has serious issues with vampires. Hopefully the sideboard will even the playing field. I will have to playtest and tweak the deck's sideboard constantly, but I think it's a good start. Please comment!!

Deck discussion for Red/ Splash Green Fast Aggro

This deck is rape. The only thing I'd change is removing the goblin guides for two more of each of the enchantments.

thanks for the comment. I'll have to playtest it a bit to see which is more helpful.

I hear ya. I think I will drop the Blitz Hellion and leave the bloodbraid. This deck is directly from my mono-red deck that you can see from my profile. I just wanted to do some play testing to see how much better the deck could be with the bloodbraid. The deck does very well without it, and the idea that I can drop a 3/2 haste and possibly cascade into a ball lightning or hellspark is pretty promising, but only time will tell.

This is just an idea if you wanted to try and test it out. My haste deck was Jund and I really enjoyed the black splash into it, allowing for Terminates, Lightning Reavers (EXCELLENT card to couple with Quest for Pure Flame, adding 2 counters a turn) and Bituminous blast's into bloodbraid into ball lightning is just one of the most amazing plays to go out on. Like I said, just a thought :) Just a splash is all thats necessary, but it works best only if you use the proper dual lands to cover Ball LIghtning's specific mana :P

+1 for sure :)

Thanks for the comment, Farrom. Right now I want to keep the mana curve as low as possible. I do like the idea of splashing the black in, but for now I'm going to keep it Red/Splash Green. I especially like the fact that I can now sideboard naturalize for some disenchant. Hopefully bloodbraid will make this deck so ridiculously fast that I won't even have to worry about it, but ya never know.

If you do removes the Blitz Hellion (a card I love, but can see why it'd get the axe), might I suggest Rip Clan Crasher? It'd be another haste 2/2 to cascade into.

Yeah I was looking at Rip Clan Crasher, but I'm not sure if I like it enough. I was thinking of maybe putting in another of each of the enchantments, but I'm not sure. I don't really like the idea of cascading into an enchantment that doesn't immediately punch someone in the face.

Ok... I had to tweak it some more after FNM last night. I am absolutely stomping almost everyone I play. My mana curve seems to be just right (before these new changes... haven't play tested this new set-up yet). It's kind jund in it's colors, but it's not running the signature jund cards like maelstrom pulses, thrinax, bituminous blast, etc... still want to keep the speed pretty quick with the deck while having some utility to deal with vampires (my worst match-up).
