You're only going to need 20 land because Reejery and Stonybrook Banneret will get your cards out quick and cheap. I think any Merfolk deck should have Merrow Commerce in it, but that's just me.

The only problem with Merrow Commerce is that wake thrasher doesn't get the bonus he would get at the beginning of your turn. But I do agree, the lands are excessive. Thanks!
