Good idea, but I think you should dump Black altogether. It's like you have two separate ideas hinged on one thinly veiled concept: counters. I feel as though if you start to push your game in one direction, say waking up the sleepy dragon early, and he goes straight to the gutter, you'll be too far along devoting your time to that plan that you won't be able to turn around and push a Black Sun quick enough. Do one or the other, not both.

Of course, take my two cents with a grain of salt. I'm not trying to be harsh, so I hope you don't hear it in that tone. Keep up the good builds!

Haha, you weren't supposed to comment yet, I wasn't done! But thanks for the kind words! I'm gonna be putting all my decks up here on mtgvault, so feel free to browse through them. I like building decks over interesting win conditions (usually) and since I don't play standard outside of Limited, most of my decks are casual. However, I usually build them around being standard or, at worst, modern legal.

Understandable. Just remember that for every mana you draw after you have enough to maintain board control is a wasted draw. There are blue cards that will help you draw cards while allowing you to pitch unwanted lands. Since you're just starting out, I suggest to get in some serious playtesting, even if it's solitaire. You don't even have to play against anything, just shuffle your deck and draw like you would in a game. Get a feel for the deck, know what to expect every time you draw a card. Not getting enough of one card? Add more (4 card max). Another card getting in the way or feel like a dead spell? Drop it and add something new.

Good luck at FNM!

Cute idea, but there's plenty more T1/T2/T3 win conditions that don't use a $1500 card, let alone 4 of them! Consider cards like Dark Ritual or cards that let you use alternatives for casting (like life). Here's a quick example using one creature, two sorceries, some expensive creatures, and a perfect hand.

Turn 1:
Play Mountain. Tap for mana, cast Raging Goblin.
Cast two Blazing Shoals by pitching two Myojin of Infinite Rage for the alternative cost, give the goblin +20/+0, swing for 21 damage. GG

Of course, you'd have to have a PERFECT hand, but it is doable, haha.

Good deck idea! Here's some food for thought:

If you're thinking about dropping Garruk, consider replacing him with Master of the Wild Hunt. He costs 1 less and you get a 2/2 wolf every upkeep. For a token deck, you're worried more about generating tokens, of any kind, than popping off Garruk's ultimate. As for Karn, he seems a little forced into the deck theme. I would consider taking him out completely. Lastly, the Myr Propagator. I see it's in there for the token generating, but it's a little slow at that. 3 mana and a tap could really hinder your mana curve.

One more thing: Precursor Golem on paper looks like a great idea, but he can easily backfire in your face. I can use one Doom Blade targeting just one golem and they all die. you have to watch when and where you play him. Consider maybe Asceticism (creatures you control have hexproof)? It's mono green, a little expensive, but in your mana ramped deck, you could easily pop off 5 mana by turn 4. That way your tokens are safe.

Oh, and last but not least: You call it an artifact overrun deck but you're not even running Overrun! Good deck man, can't wait to see it after the tweaks you make.

Thanks! It took me a few builds to funnel down to exactly what I needed, but I think you could actually pull this off in a casual game. What I found out through playtesting is that as long as your opening hand contains a Lotus Bloom, you're almost guaranteed to crack off the win condition by turn 4. That is, if they don't start breaking your artifacts!

I'll definitely check out your deck. Thanks again for the kind words!

I went through the whole process of registering just so I could ask this question: Do people really put 24 lands in their deck? I have never built, nor come across a deck, that has had 24 lands unless they were specifically building around it.

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, I really am curious. I haven't played constructed in years, so I'm not sure what people are doing outside of limited. I just know that in my casual decks, 20 is the limit for me, and sometimes even that feels like too much.
