Deck Description

Green House: an artificial garden that augment's growth and chokes out unwanted invaders with cheap barriers

Classic lands build with a few tweaks to see how it will work as a mini-prison. The two big additions are Root Maze and Intuition, neither of which have seen much action in the architype to my knowledge. Root Maze might seem counterintuitive at first, but actually has some great synergy.

Firstly, you're running WAAAAAAAY more lands, and won't be missing land drops, so you're going to develop faster regardless, and having the Maze out won't slow you down at all in comparison to what it will do to opponent.

Secondly, you're basically not running fetchlands, and Crop Rotation kind of doesn't care about entering tapped, so you don't get the dreaded 2 turn lockdown that fetchlands have with the active Maze.

Thirdly, since it's a 1-drop, and you've got good accel in this build (Diamond and Exploration), you've got a good chance of bypassing the Maze entirely by dropping it turn 1 with either 2 fielded lands or a land and a Mox, in either case being up a massive tempo boost on opponent.

Fourthly, the Maze's best friend is Sphere of Resistance, as all your spells are cheap, you don't play many of them, you've got accel so you can get it out turn 1 or 2 with consistency, and a turn 1 Maze and accelerant into a turn 2 Sphere is basically the ballgame. Opponent's facing a 2-turn tempo drop while you're off to the races with nothing but time to connect one of your many, many wincons and/or engines.

Intuition is going for the unexpected angle here, as you can use it to setup an engine or a wincon with ludicrous ease, if you can actually get it to resolve. The theory here is that you'll slow opponent down enough with your 8 prison cards that that's potentially possible, as well as being a potential maverick draw, as opponent won't be running much counter magic games 2 and 3 since you're running mostly lands. So, you've got a decent chance of resolving it if you draw it, and if you draw it, you're going to be able to capitalize on it one way or the other.

Wincons are:
-Saga gaming
-Dark Depths shenanigans
-Wastelocking

Synergy is too high to count, as there's SOOOOO many little tricks you can run, such as all the nonsense with Crop Rotation, Thespian's Staging a Saga, Wasting your own lands to be Loamed, etc.

Will it work? Who knows.

Feedback appreciated.
