Jawbreaker- can't swallow it, can't crush it, have to just sit there and suck on it as it takes your time away from youAn attempt at a strange resource denial deck that leverages unusual control plays to take away material and tempo from opponent, then taking advantage of it. Some parts of this are obvious, such as the turn 1 Thoughtseize giving you the info you need to plan your turns and denying opponent whatever it is you need to deny. That's just an accepted line in magic, has been forever. This build seeks to capitalize on that idea a little further with a few tricks to help speed it along.Cabal Therapy goes hand in hand with Thoughtseize, as you get the read on opponent's hand and can thus snipe cards on its first use. You also get to cash in the tokens from Ajani and Bowmasters for the second use (for no mana), which flips Ajani while pulling out the interaction that would bust Ajani (etc). It's also vastly helped by Portent, which has its own benefits, but also gives you the info to make correct use on Therapy, netting you a potential +2 in material for next to no mana.Portent is interesting on its own, and I very much want to start using it as a resource denial tool, as you can quite literally slow opponent down whole turns through land denial/land flooding, or just having the knowledge of what's coming to plan accordingly, all while cantripping for U (which also pitches to Force if necessary). I'm very much imagining a new Pox-esk idea with it, and this is an early attempt to fuse it with Cabal Therapy to see how they interact in practice.Reanimate speaks for itself, as you can recycle your tasty critters on the cheap as well as taking advantage of the massive discard outlets to snipe a banger from opponent then Reanimate it for yourself. Turn 1 Thoughtseize into turn 2 Reanimate for you is quite the turnaround in a deck that won't be expecting such a play, and can even force opponent to overcorrect in subsequent games if they think it's a reanimator build. You can easily sub it out game's 2 and/or 3 if it comes up game 1, then your grave game is limited to Murktides and Therepies, and opponent will side in hate for stuff that essentially doesn't exist.Feedback appreciated.
