Hot Pockets: take out of wrapper, place directly into toiletSimple theory, hopefully simple execution. Take advantage of discard mechanics to grind out either quick tempo advantage or longterm material advantage by using madness, recursion, and accompanying fun little bits of synergy to shoot for the W. In essence, we're looking to turn Faithless Looting into 2/3's of an Ancestral Recall on the front end and a 'pay 4 draw 4' on the back end.Overchase Daredevil and Squee are the backbone of the build, as hopefully both will stay in the grave no time at all when discarded. Thus, you've got eight value engine discard targets on top of the eight madness targets, so just over 25% of the deck is ok being discarded for your benefit. Then there's the Asmoranblah package that lets you fetch Cookbooks that kick the build into overdrive, as you can discard on a stick to pump out Food tokens that synergize with other things or just build up life. I'm particularly fond of this build's plan B, as you can just do Saga gaming in combination with the artifact token madness that is Cookbook and Fable, which is of course augmented by Saga's fetch ability, so if you want to invest the two turns into your Saga tokens, they'll be guaranteed to be 4/4's at a minimum and have the potential to be leviathans.Plan C is even more interesting, as if you manage to fight opponent into a drawn out game, you've got eight recursion critters that you can just field and hack away with. Squee being a 1/1 and legendary is obviously a pain, but the ability to chump block every turn coupled with the potential lifegain from food tokens is an actual tactical retreat in a game where both players are topdecking. Daredevil, on the other hand, is a five-turn clock, so being able to recur it and roll the damage isn't negligible. Will it hold up against the lightning fast modern format? Probably not. Is it fun? Hopefully.Thoughts appreciated.
