Deck Description

Snack-Pack: disposable small artifacts that have no nutrition (deny resources)

Emry and Goblin Engineer are best friends. Some of the best friends I've seen in magic actually, since you can start the shenanigans turn 2 if you have both of them and enough affinity (or even turn 1 with both Mox cards). Turn 1- throw out some artifacts, play Emry for 1. Turn 2, play Goblin. Goblin dumps a card in the grave, Emry replays the card. Goblin sacs the card to get something else, Emry replays the card. This creates an unbelievable value engine that will pull you through the deck and handle whatever mechanic you need it to handle. Here are some fun examples:

Goblin dumps Trinisphere/Vexing Bauble/Winter Moon/Ensnaring Bridge/Pithing Needle, Emry replays it. At the end of opponent's turn, Goblin sacs it for something else so you don't lose out to your own prison cards, then you replay it with Emry during your M2 and lock opponent out of whatever resource they need.

Goblin dumps a Mox, Emry replays it. Mox pays for Goblin's sac, Emry replays Mox for 0, you get a full switch for free.

Goblin dumps Sting, Emry replays it. Throw Sting on one of them, you get to do their effect twice per turn.

The rest of the build is just good artifact stuff on its own that works super well with Emry, Goblin, or the combo. Ichor Wellspring is always a fun Goblin target, as you can recycle it every turn for a big draw boost on top of pulling back whatever you need. So, for example, if you have a Mox with it, you can do the Mox trick to run the combo to draw 2 cards every turn for free, which will mean you hit land drops every turn and kick everything into overdrive.

All at very fast speeds, with gigantic and cheap weapons, against a humungous value engine that can produce a prison lock on top of itself.

Feedback appreciated.

Deck discussion for Modern Snack-Pack(Competitive)

This is pretty darn cool. Not sure it fits, but it keeps tugging at my brain. Have you looked at Uba Mask? Seems like it would be value added.

That's certainly an interesting prison mechanic card, especially since it basically shuts down all counterspells and eats removal if there are no targets. I'd give it some consideration for the sideboard, but it doesn't exactly fit in the maindeck because it's a 4-drop. The main combo is Goblin working with Emry, both of which rely on cheap cards. Goblin can only fetch back 3-drops, so he can pitch a Mask to the grave but can't fetch it back, and Emry can fetch it back but since it's a 4-drop it would eat the whole turn's mana to do so. The beauty of the setup is that Goblin makes the switch for 1 mana and Emry can fetch back 0-drops for free, so the whole thing costs minimal and allows you to stull use your lands/draws to keep developing.

It's certainly worth considering though, I've never given the card much thought, but it is a full stop to a good deal of mechanics and builds. It would be REALLY good in Legacy where you can use bullshit lands like Ancient Tomb and acceleration like the off-color Moxes to ramp into it turn 1 or 2. Let me think on it.
