You're correct - this is meant for extended and multi-player play. The goal here is to stay alive for the first 5 rounds.
I know it's strange, but I'm focused on the other 2 abilities.
You're absolutely right, the hydras are over-kill.
Thank you for your comment! Wouldn't you say Devoted Druid works better with Immaculate Magistrate? It also costs 1 less which is important earlier in the game. If this deck were richer in land, I'd go with Mul Daya, though...
