Your landbase can't support your deck. You can't hard cast Skaab Ruinator which defeats the purpose of running him. You can't even support Mana Leak on those 4 duals and without an island you can't fix your mana base with Solemn Simulacrum. Your deck doesn't work.

I would never hard cast skaab, I would however birthing pod him.
So you would not hard cast him even if he is in your hand or in the graveyard. That's just stupid. Birthing pod fills your graveyard, it's easy to hard cast him in this type of deck. On top of that people do shoot down birthing pod first chance they get so I would not bet everything on having an active pod. There was nothing wrong with the harbors, you just needed islands as well. Put those 4 duals back in + a few islands.
