this deck is more like a \"TAP EFFECT DECK\",because this deck has plenty of combos..the main card in this deck is the drowner of secrets because you can tap any merfolk at any time and when that merfolk is tap,it allows its effect to activate. example: activate the spell of the drowner of secret then choose to tap surgespanner then pay UB,then you can return target permanent to its owners hand.

I really like this deck especially since merfolk are my favorite creature type. U may want to try syggs and more summon the schools in there cuz that card built quick. See wht u think bout my deck, Merrow Management

yes, definitely add Sygg and some multicolored mana. Also Sideboard some counters in. Most merfolk decks i've seen don't carry any counters, but one wrath of god or damnation and it's GG.
Deck needs some counter spells.
something better than the skycloud is azorius signet because it is not a land so more come out quickly. I also agree with more summon the school
