Deck discussion for Gargoyle's Revenge

thats pretty cool ever consider changeling creatures (they are every creature type) you picked a very agrivating creature type for a tribal deck lol, one that is very hard to build around also i would drop holy day breath of life unsommon and add swords to plowshares one more mana leak maybe a few wrath of god, also try adding dual lands (glaicial fortress) hollow fountain tundra seachrome coast and mystic gate are a few but really this is just a tough tribe to build, door of destinies is not terrible

Nice one ya got here. Your mana base is a little off, pull like three islands for plains. Then pull 2 each for dualies lol, also, orims chant > holy day, and swords to plowshares/path to exile > unsummon. You could even use dispatch with all the artifacts you run. If you do, drop in 4x of the on color artifact lands to really put over the top.

Maybe put some condemn in the meantime till i get some swords to pplowshares

nice deck, might you consider exchanging the holy days for 2 mirror entities? that would increase your power later in the match

4 glacial fortress' for sure. Some dipatches(3)and some path to exiles(3) regular counters. They'll be more effective and drop the breath of lifes and o rings. You can use stuff like coat of arms or perimeter. Aptai. To rou d this out. I would also try some quamulox those are beast or a broodstar ortwo for finisher

Really cool deck haha I love that it's only $16. I would have to agree though w/ natzito. Changlings may be very useful.

I'm not sure that I've seen a gargoyle deck before.
Pretty cool. I'm not a big fan of dual lands either.

Nice idea pal, a particularly rare but interesting tribe. The only thing I see is that I think that the rings could work better as SB cards, using banishment stroke instead. While I like dual lands, I understand that some can get very expensive, but is a nice land base there, without a lot of color intensive cards. This could probably put to good use Ponder, for sculpting hands and cantrip, and maybe Divination. Hope this helps!

Adaptive automatons would make for a solid addition to this deck. considering its Gargoyle tribal.

I'm a bit unsure what you actually achieve by playing all those Gargoyles. Most tribal decks like Elves or Zombies contain creatures and spells that make the other creatures in the deck stronger because they all share a creature type, but there's nothing here that really does that for you. It's a cool idea, but I don't know what it really accomplishes.

elves and zombies and goblins are done over and over there cool and all that but i was going for something different

well done for original thought on tribal. a friend of mine built a wicked BOAR deck, and i myself built a HOUND deck. its wicked to think outside the box with tribal. keeps the game fresh and interesting.
however not a great idea for folks who play competitively. unfortunately when it comes to tournaments the best thing to do is net deck because all people care about is winning. for veterans of the game like myself the game gets very stale very quickly when you stick to competitive gaming only. my favorite part of the game is interaction with other people getting to know them and growing as a player. building decks with creativity rather than my wallet. ^_^ live long and prosper fellow gatherers. ^_^

Tribal decks with no formal support are always super fun to try and build

I had a giant deck and a treefolk deck for years, and then Lorwyn came out and turned both of them into great decks over night, but for the longest time they were setup like this. Obviously tribal, just with no mass help.

Cool idea.

Gargoyle tribe. Who'da thunk it??? This is actually a very solid build for a pretty silly tribe!! I love it. It moves a little slow, but at least it has a recognizable tempo. Good, solid build.

If you get a chance, I would love your comments on a black sacrifice deck I built!

I love tribal decks in tribes that aren't normally done. Kudos man.
Looks like a pretty solid build for a casual deck too.

Any chance you could offer me some advice?
It's a casual SAC deck;

Man i wish i could make a gargoyle deck that wasn't vintage. This one seems pretty awesome though. Not sure on the condemn when path to exile is out and playable but that was after this deck was made maybe.

Gotta love an oddball tribal deck. A buddy of mine has a Gargoyle tribal, but it's different than this one, so I'll have to look at his as well as what other gargoyle cards are out there and then I can (hopefully) suggest some things =]
