Seeing as the owl triggers in the opponent's upkeep, how about giving said opponent more upkeeps with Paradox Haze? I would suggest Arcane Laboratory, but it's not modern legal. The only cards like Arcane Laboratory that are legal in Modern are all white: Curse of Exhaustion Eidolon of Rhetoric Rule of Law
