to make it short Blue lets you take controls of opponents creature while drawing and discarding, while black is bring from the grave and killing off creatures, and finally the red is just to keep you alive until your commander is out to use his unearth ability to bring all creatures out of the your graveyard for one massive beat down temporarily.
