Phyrexian Unlife doesn't actually GIVE them infect, Melira doesn't interact with it that way. Would've been interesting if it did though.

You're right, they technically deal damage as though they had infect but you cannot get poison counters. I questioned the same thing haha.
The general idea of the deck is to use the phyrexian unlife and melira to keep you alive at or below 0 so that you can use repay in kind. Melira prevents unlife from giving you poison counters after 0, if your questioning that then look it up. plenty on the topic as it is. but no the idea isnt to give group poison counters if thats what you were thinking.
Ah, I had not looked over Melira very well it seems. Green cards from standard only get about half a glance from me, it's my second least favourite colour, and my least favourite format.
if you take out a few cards you could make this deck standard at no real disadvantage. Also soul conduit is a much funnier win condition =-)
