I initially started this deck around the simple but fun idea of a mono blue deck comboing Ornithopters with Ensoul Artifact(EA) and Ghostfire Blades. I threw in Darksteel Citadel, Tormod's Crypt for more targets for for EA, inherently making more targets for Ghostfire Blade as well. I wanted a way to reuse the EA's in the deck so I added dawn to dusk. I also wanted another way to utilize the extra artifacts in the deck so I included Shrapnel Blast. Boom, now I had the base colors of Jeskai. I then had the clever idea of trying to fit in the famed jeskai ascendancy combo into the deck. I added all the usual cards to make and dig for the combo. I saw how powerful commune with the gods would be in this deck not only to drive the combo but also to get to EAs in the chance the deck doesnt draw any out. Sylvan Caryatids was another easy addition to the deck.
The optimum turn one would be t1: mana confluence ghostfire blade and play an ornithopter. T2: citadel ensoul artofact on ornithopter swing for 5. T3: mana confluence tap 1 to equip ghostfire to ornithopter now 7/7. Swing for 7 (12). Play tormods crypt and immideatly sac it and cast shrapnel blast for 5 (17). From there on out its up in the air either keep swinging, burn em out, or dive for the combo. The combo is there to support the mid game if you dont draw an excellent hand to end it quickly. It also provides dive cards to not only reach into the deck and get the cards for the thopter and the combo. Note that you can use the EA to turn the Citadel, Tormod's crypt, and altar of the brood into 5/5s. You could even use the GFBlade. Tormods Crypt also. Surves as a counter against other delve decks. You can dusk to dawn to reuse or pull from what you put into the grave with commune and scheaming. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The sideboard is 1/3 Counter. 1/3 control 1/3 Board wipes.All of the cards in here are pretty self explanatory. The Phyrexian Revoker is in the SB to counter any planeswalkers or strong activated creatures.
