Sideboard (0 cards)

No sideboard found.

The owner of this deck hasn't added a sideboard, they probably should...

Submit a list of cards below to bulk import them all into your sideboard. Post one card per line using a format like "4x Birds of Paradise" or "1 Blaze", you can even enter just the card name by itself like "Wrath of God" for single cards.

Deck Description

I like control Decks and I wanted to try something new so I designed a control deck that, instead of stops the enemy from casting a spell, stops an enemy from having cards in his/her hand.

How to Play

Most cards in this deck can force your opponent to discard cards. Whenever your opponent discards a card all Liliana's Caress and all Waste Nots will trigger. Dimir Infiltrator acts like a 3 cmc Diabolic Tutor.

The only way your opponent can cast a card once they lose their opening hand is by casting their card they draw during the draw phase. If you use a charm directly after they draw this card then they will again have no cards in hand and nothing to cast.

Deck discussion for If only you had cards to play.

Needs Megrim for a discard deck, deals two damage every time they discard. Run four of it for a short game with this much forced discard, also you may want some Sign in Blood to give them something to be able to discard (XD)

Thanks for the help! :D I forgot to throw in Megrim. I don't think Sign in Blood is a good idea because if they draw an instant, they can cast it before i force them to discard it. Instead of Sign in Blood I threw in a set of Reckless Scholars so the enemy does draw a card but they cant cast it because they discard it before the effect resolves.

Sign in Blood does provide that slight window of opportunity, but it gives them two cards instead of one and deals them damage in the process; That being said, the scholars are reuseable- six of one, half a dozen of the other. If I had the cards, this is the discard deck I would run:

I have built discard decks before but they never worked very well because I don't have most of what I want, or I only have singletons of them :P

I left a comment on your deck, it seems slow but if it makes it to turn 6 it will most likely win if your opponent doesn't have two 23/23 double strike flying lifelink vigilance angel on the field. That has happened to me before. :(

rofl, I was playing my hydras at FNM a while back and got the guy down to 8 life, then he popped fog two attacks in a row and popped Ajani for 100 life. He thought he was safe. I killed him the next turn.
