Flash the field

The Means:
Everything at instant speed

The Fix:
GRUUL!!!!

How to Play

This deck is a reactionary surprise play deck, so you'll need to keep a hand a field full of untapped mana.

Flash in blockers, change them to pigs, birds or frogs, counter stuff. What ever your hand wants you to do, do it on their turn. Keep them on the edge of their seats.

You'll be playing control on this one, but until you drop a nivix cyclops you won't be hitting back very hard. So keep a few instances to buff him to stupid levels, then blood rush the fellow until it's lethal.

Play lands tapped, no matter, just get your prophet out as soon as possible. Dig through your deck to do it.

Hypersonic Dragon put field wipes on tap, Curse of the swine as they declare attackers is much more effective, mizzium mortars at the beginning of combat is also equally as good. Even if you're just drawing at the end of your turn, it'll be doing you some favors.

Probably the most under appreciated card in the deck is your elixir. Those draw spells can give you a hand to work with, but you'll have a bunch of stuff in the graveyard you'll want out. Thin your deck, tutor for some lands, play a bunch of spells. By the time you pop the elixir just think, you restart your deck with what, 4 to 10 lands out of it? There are some fantastic draw stats there. Go ahead and give your deck a second wind, and play some more spells.

Either way, just remember, you'll be on the defensive until you swing for lethal.
Go ahead and look at the spells again. Done? Okay remember when I said this is a reactionary deck? That's the key, recognize threats early and this deck will work for you. Forget aggression, you'll do most of your damage all at once when there is nothing they can do about it.

Deck discussion for Bioshock

I thought a while on a deck like this. Really it wasn't quite possible, (All my failed attempts at red blue hypersonic dragon decks supporting), well wasn't quite possible before Prophet of kruphix. Now this deck takes izzet counter burn, and simic control to whole new levels. I didn't even stop there, and in some gruul for aggression, and you have a deck that'll shine in any match up.

Regardless if you're gripping a handful of counters, reckless buffing a Savageborn Hydra to no end, this deck will pull through or spell spam trying.
