Deck Description

Using green mana ramp, this deck revolves around getting Angelic Overseer out quickly.

How to Play

This deck is meant to be competitive against the aggro that came out in gatecrash. There is plenty of stall in this deck, you have to keep a level head and be looking for the best way out. Safe passage is a new addition, making your mana ramp serve a second purpose, chump block.

Using green mana ramp, and humans, the goal of this deck is to get out a very hard to get rid of Angelic Overseer. Augment your angels with SilverBlade or Nearheath, and you can get one very dangerous angel.

If your Angels don't want to play, Township Of Gavony and champion of the Parish become your primary source of damage. A few instances of Gavony can give your mana ramp some teeth for later on.

Treat War Priest of Thune like your bear, unless you know there is an enchantment to watch out for, get him into the fight. The only one I would hold back on playing would be Nearheath Pilgrim.

Deck discussion for Selesnya OverSeer Revisited

Might want to throw in some spare from evil. its a 2 drop spell gives all your creatures protection for non-humans as a side board or just all in to make it so opponents cant block you or to save your creatures.

Spare from evil is a good card, and would help with aggro vampires or wolves, but gatecrash release several very lethal human combos. I say this deck gets most of its umph around turn 5, where you will usually be sitting on 8 mana or a few gavonys. For those first five turns, there isn't much damage that can be done with your humans anyway. Sure there is a possibility of having a double striking 4/4 parish, but that is not likely.

My main point is, the humans in here are not the aggressive point. They do help the tempo, and can get a player on the defensive while you pull out some finishers, yet human victories in this deck are hard pulled.
