Deck Description

Trying to make my first ever standard deck as a budget, but efficient, Elves deck for which won't be rotating out for a while so can get some solid playtime before needing to change decks. Hoping to be able to take it along to FNM .
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

How to Play

Although many would suggest CoCo and Chords as the essential for this type of deck due to both budget constraints and playstyle I've opted for a more control based deck focusing on the 'finisher' card of shaman on the pack.
The idea early game is to lay down as many one or two drop elves as possible to later be able to drop a Shaman and swing for high damage. Temur sabretooth was included so you can grab Shaman back of the board and place it again for recurring damage.
In the one drop section Gnarlroot trapper can act either as a early game ramped or to deathtouch another elf. Thornbow archer is a solid one drop with the added bonus of swinging for 1 unblockable damage each attack. Duress was included to take advantage of the control meta and to try and remove a board wipes that would swing down and remove all your Elves. Foul-tongue shriek was included to take advantage of the huge amount of creatures and to gain you some life should you be pummled by an agro deck.
In two drops there's Dwynen's elite which is a solid 2/2 but also take advantage of your one drops laying another elf into the field. English visionary, although a weak two drop, gives solid hand advantage as once it's dropped another card is instantly in your hand. Leaf glider was included to try and make up for lost mana gain from not including Nissa (again, budget constraints) but is a solider ramp early game.
In three drops we have the bomb that is Shaman of the pack. Build yourselves up, drop a Shaman, rinse repeat until death. We also have Read the bones keeping that control meta in mind and giving you the much needed card advantage in a deck with such a low mana curve.
Finally in the 4 drops we have Gwynen, gilt leaf daen which not only boosts all your eleves up but also delivers in the health front allowing you to drop Read the bones and Gnarlroot trapped without a concern for health. Temur sabtrtooth purely serves as a strong attacker but also to be able to pull Shaman back into your hand and drop it again for double damage.
The sideboard is currently a work in progress though.
