Deck Description

Well, I've been meaning to start making some of these SOM block decks for a while, but thanks to seeing EthanLewis starting in on some, I've finally got a bit more motivation to give it a try.

This is my first deck, of hopefully several, SOM block decks and it's similar to what could be a standard aggro poison build, but built with a bit more lategame ability.

Please feel free to give any contructive advice. Thanks.

Deck discussion for Poison! (SOM Block)

A really good block green infect creature, is rot wolf. I'd consider finding a place for him. not sure if he's a 3 or 2 drop, but the card draw off of him really helps you run into what you need. but honestly I haven't tampered much with competitive infect.
Loving tezzeret's gambit, and it's nice to see a fair bit of proliferation going on!

Maybe I'm too old school with infect, but I always anticipate a late game. So I wouldn't be totally against the idea of putrefax, lol. But how do you find this deck to run? : O
and also, thanks for the shout out :D

Well, I just put the deck together so I don't want to say much yet about how it runs. Seems decent enough, though. I'm thinking Putrefax seems expensive and poor against control, but it does seem really sick to blast in when they're tapped out... Hmm. I'll have to look into that. Rot Wolf seems ok... I'm not really sold on him to be honest. Idk. I'll keep it in mind and while I do really like the card draw, it is only a 2/2 for 3 mana which is a bit slow and seems kind of rough. It could be a good sideboard card though, depending on what decks actually start becomming good in SOM block. Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely be looking into both.

Alright I have a question before I make any suggestions. Is this for just SOM or for standard?

Just for SOM. Otherwise it'd be seriously lacking and I'd have probably tried for a red splash for Assault Strobe...
