Deck Description

infect deck is always fun to play :)

How to Play

set up the cheap creatures and make them unblockable with aqueous form / distortion strike, power them up for a huge infect and finish your oponent by turn 3 or 4

best case turn 2 WIN!

open hand : forest+island+glistener elf+distortion strike+groundswell+invigorate+ mutagenic
turn 1: forest + glistener elf
turn 2: island + distortion strike + groundswell + invigorate/ 2x mutagenic
= 10 / 10 umblockable creature with infection

there are many other variations of open hand able to make you a creature +10/10 by turn 3 enought to kill oponent, try out some sample hands :)

if you prefer with few changes it becomes budget or stronger(but not modern)

Deck discussion for TURN 2 Infect fast kill

Needs Mutagenic Growth. Also, swap Unstable Mutation for Rancor. Loose Corpse Cur, too slow

Looking good. I'm going to look into distortion strike in place of my twisted image or vault skyward In my deck. I went 6-2-0 this past fnm modern tourny with mine against some really good decks. Lost one to a nice artifact deck and the other to a Malira pod deck.

Invigorate is not legal in modern so you should add more Might of Old Krosas and Mutagenic Growths. Also, you should be using 4 Inkmoth Nexuses instead of 2 Blinkmoth Nexuses.

Agreed. I can't tell you how many people I've told to change Invigorate because it's the only Vintage/Legacy card

i dont realy need it to become modern legal for the torunament i use it near my house but i will chance because it seems to be more common in other places, btw why use inkmoth instead of blinkmoth? just for the extended legal?

Inkmoth Nexus becomes a 1/1 flying with infect while Blinkmoth Nexus doesn't have infect. Inkmoth Nexus is the right card for the deck. Take a closer look at both.

Blinkmoth is used in just about EVERY world tournament infect deck, Inkmoth isn't. I get that it buffs Blinkmoth but it just isn't worth it

As an infect player you're very limited to lands and their mana. Having a land to buff up ONE other land just isn't worth it!

lol cant belive blinkmoth dont have infect like inkmoth have ^^
just changed it its all fine now :)

Actually, Inkmoth is used in every infect deck, not Blinkmoth and yes, an infect player will have very little lands and mana but that's why most infect decks run Noble Hierarch. Even if you don't run Noble Hierarch, Inkmoth Nexus acts as another creature with evasion.

Sorry! Wrong way around. I thought Blinkmoth was the infect one....
And true. I would never use Blinkmoth in an infect deck BECAUSE it don't have infect

Yeah the names are very similar and easily confused.

Nice, you have a nice mix of Blue in your deck. And I like Vines of Vastwood.

Nice infect deck (responding to your post on my infect deck). What do you think about replacing your Fog with Terrifying Presence for your creature?
