Here we go. Instead of Rot Shambler, how about Malakir Cullblade: low mana cost, and instead of the +1 counter from death of my own creatures, he's triggered from the death of the opponent's creatures.

Thanks for your thoughtful suggestions.

-Rot shambler.

At first I included Rot Shambler because I liked the low mana cost. Later on I reconsidered because I didn't like the idea of his ability requiring the death or sacrifice of my other creatures. If I had room for a graveyard retrieval spell such as Dutiful Return, I could go with Rot. I guess I'm just too attached to my creatures surviving and getting their +1s.

-Naturalize in this case would be a better answer to artifacts and enchantments.

Agreed. I just edited it. Thanks.

-Lots of black and no removal seems kinda wasteful so doomblade might be nice or drown in sorrow if you like more death with your spells.

Doom Blade makes me hesitate because it won't work on black creatures. Drown in Sorrow seems like a great choice early or maybe mid-game, but not so useful later on when the big boys hit the table.

-If you're looking for a universal answer to things and aren't too scared of spending a bit of money maelstrom pulse seems to fit into the three drop slot rather well here.

Maelstrom Pulse! Wow! I was totally unaware that card existed. In it goes. I'll mow the neighbor's lawn if I have to for that card. I replaced Dromoka's Gift with it which was way too mana costly anyway.

-I would drop then verdant catacombs for money reasons and maybe for for shocks (overgrown tomb)

Verdant Catacombs is coming up $7.50 and Overgrown Tomb comes in at $7.50 at Cardshark. I like the fetch land better for deck thinning purposes. Will keep it in mind though when I actually make the purchase. Thanks.

-I would also look into your five drop slot as it seems a bit full. Maybe take out a primordial or two and drop the flies since its a bit slow for this deck.
-If your playing with friends and .Want a decent finisher one or two vraska the unseen might help.

Beautiful suggestion re: Vraska the Unseen. Why only with friends? She's a lovely companion. I think I could swap her in replacing Swarm of Flies.

-I would also only run 3 corpsejack menace since he can. Occasionally be a bit of a dead draw early game.

Let's see what online playtesting reveals. Will keep this in mind.

So your input was much appreciated. All the best!
