Hi all! Just finished Athreos with a strong Shadowborn Apostle theme.Looking to tweak/massage/love on this guy. I KNOW he's got ridiculous potential, so I'm hoping you all have the secrets to unlock his power!
This deck is all about masochism- sac your boys to let Athreos do his life drain thing! Get athreos out ASAP, then start working your creatures in and out of the graveyard. Use the sac outlets to add mana, make opponents discard, etc. while also giving them the life tax. They'll likely just let you have your shadowborns back, further fueling the fire. A few awesome things:Remembrance is UNREAL in any shadowborn deck, but ESPECIALLY in this one. If you can pop this and phyrexian altar, you can literally either A. get all your shadowborns out of your deck, B. Kill off a player in one fell swoop (if they accept life payment), or C. Generate ungodly amounts of tokens (given Xathrid or slumlord are out)Also, if you have deathrender out and on a shadowborn while remembrance is out, you're looking at some great shenanigans. Martyr's bond and Grave Pact- keep their boards silent by their own doing. sac away, then they sac with you.Magister of Worth gives you joy no matter which way she's voted. You can bring back all your guys that have stuck in the graveyard or you can destroy them all and have opponents pay out the butt to keep them in their dirt nap.However, I definitely want to hear ideas. thoughts, comments, snide remarks? bring them all!

Maybe you should add Mortify.Otherwise, "woah" is mostly everything that came to my mind.+1 like.

Massacre Wurm and Mortification beetle would be cool. The deck looks fun!
I really like mortician beetle in this! could be a really great quick threat, especially if i get the rememberance/phyrexian altar loop going with a shadowborn.Thanks for the input!
No problem, it is an awesome deck! Also Dictate of Erebos is just like Gravepact so you might want to put it in your deck.
