Piety is just there for a fun life gain card. It works well with slivers for it's effect, I just throw it in for the off chance I can use it. I need to get more than one though.

Yeah, gets me every time. Damn Treva! That is the only reason I lose!
Sapprolings are almost as bad as slivers. Of course, then there are the squirells. Although I also agree with the wrath of god stuff. If you are outcreatured, why not throw in some fog or even creature type based effect cards. At least then you can protect against other creature type based decks as well as beef up your saprolings. PS: Im an amatuer, its just what I would do.
Interesting idea, mostly based around life effects. But I feel this needs a more offensive aspect than just discards. Maybe put in a couple Brood Slivers or maybe even a Dark Heart Sliver to go with it. These two cards could boost your creature count and your life gain potential.
