Deck Description

As you probably know, while Theros will ultimately bring a huge collection of goodies, it will also brutally finish off Innistrad cards.

This includes:
-Doomed Traveler
-Blood Artist
-Falkenrath Aristocrat
-Lingering Souls
-Tragic Slip
-Blasphemous Act
-Zealous Conscripts
-Sorin, Lord of Innistrad

Yes, Aristocrats, the marvelous deck it is, will finally be laid to rest. The Doomed Traveler, will finally rest in peace. But, for a brief period, with its last breath, aided by M14, Aristocrats will sing its final, triumphant song.

Please, join me in making Aristocrats the best it can possibly be with the new additions from M14 before it is finally laid to rest.

The card that probably makes the biggest splash here is Young Pyromancer. Indeed, the deck is happy to take in any more two drops it can get, and some people were even adding Knight of Infamy just to fill the gap. Young Pyromancer fills the spot nicely, and adds another level of redundancy to sacrificial fodder through its ability. The question that plagues me, then, is how many are to be played, and should there be a change to the number of instant/sorceries to accomodate Young Pyromancer?

I'm going with 4, alongside 2 new Doom Blades. This means, however, Obzedat, Sorin, and a Blasphemous Act are gone.

How to Play

HOW do you play Aristocrats? That is a deep question.
...
Let's talk about the sideboard!
x2 Assemble the Legion: This goes in for the control matchup. It survives board wipe and makes for a good enough finisher if need be.

x3 Rest in Peace: But, but... you're playing Lingering Souls! True, but I think I'd rather have an absolute answer to Junk Rites/Aristocrats and control flashback.

x3 Celestial Flare: Ah, good old/new Bant Hexproof. Celestial Flare is new and shiny, but it looks extremely valuable in a matchup, more so than other edicts.

x2 Obzedat: Yes this card is here. Please tell me what matches I side this in for though.

x3 Duress: Yes, Sin Collector is a card. Duress triggers Young Pyromancer and hits enchantments for Bant Hexproof/ walkers.

x2 Mark of Mutiny: This is tried and proven to work well.
