If you find yourself near decking out, simply throw down a laboratory maniac and counter anything that would kill him When you get Tamiyo onto the field, work up to her final ability and use it. With Arcane Melee on the field, cast brimstone volley or searing spear twice, targeting your opponent directly both times. Rewind it the second time and repeat the process until you have killed your opponent.

I completely missed him when I was reviewing the new set. Thank you for the suggestion.
Not a problem. He just pairs so well with the mystic and the Melee. However, I don't really see a need for the Laoratory Manics, since you aren't milling yourself. I'd think about trading him out for Guttersnipe, and possibly working on a more burn-based template.
