Deck discussion for Legacy Burn

Hey, I was wondering if you thought about using [Shard Volley] over [Price of Progress] and maybe use [Spark Elemental] x4 over [Eidolon of the Great Revel] because even though you want to race your opponent, I believe with your mana base and curve that you would probably hurt yourself more. Also, maybe [Fanatical Firebrand] x4 over [Goblin Guide] because even if you wanted to kill your opponent faster, giving them card advantage doesn't normally help you. Or otherwise please consider a sideboard.

Hi, thanks for your comment.
- Price of Progress is an incredible card in Legacy due to the many nonbasics. Though it seems many these days are running snow basics and astrolabe. It can reliably do 4-6 damage at instant speed. Its a stable in legacy burn.
- I agree that the curve is quite low for this deck and as such you could think that eidolon would hurt me more than the opponent, however the card is amazing against combo decks in legacy and to an extend also blue tempo decks. For the combo decks, it provides a very fast clock that punishes them for playing cheap cantrips and rituals. The blue based tempo deck will often have a clock that is slower than burns and their game plan rely on very cheap spells, making Eidolon effective against them as well.
- Goblin guide is one of the top three best burn spells printed. The possibility of an opponent drawing extra lands is not that big a deal considering the amount of damage Goblin Guide can dish out. If we reach a point in the game where the extra lands drawn for my opponent matter, burn will lose most likely anyway. Also a deck essentially trading card advantage for quick damage (the definition of the burn archtype) will never be able to win the card advantage battle; better to just maximize the quick damage by using cards such as goblin guide.

You brought up many points I didn't see clearly. I know somewhat about the meta and was concerned a bit about how mirror matches would favor. I still think you need a sideboard in case they run more basics, and I still very much like the deck and how it operates for the most part.

thanks for the comment :)

I have most of these cards except the Eidolons, so just wanted to make my take on the deck.

Your deck looks good, I personally don't like vexing devil so I will not use that.
